Pompeii Art

Pompeii was an ancient Roman city near Naples in Italy with a sophisticated water system, amphitheatre, gymnasium and a port. In 79ad the volcano Mount Vesuvius had a massive eruption and buried Pompeii under ash. Pompeii was hidden for more than 1500 years until its rediscovery in 1599. The amazing artefacts that lay beneath the ash reveal the life of a city in ancient Rome.

Our Pompeii art is based on engravings made by the archaeological teams in the early 1800s.We make them with superb pigmented inks and heavyweight 300gsm German fine art paper made from 100% cotton and spring water.
