Discover antique prints of elephants.

Elephants symbolise strength and wisdom to many cultures.

Art has shown elephants since Paleolithic times when mammoths existed. In medieval Europe pictures of elephants were amusingly inaccurate, as few had seen them.

After about 1600, illustrations of elephants became more realistic. Scientists and artists had more chances to see live elephants or specimens. Their illustrations were usually printed as engravings and lithographs.

Choose from our large selection of antique prints of elephants. They are genuine antiques.
