The Victorian language of flowers was used to convey romantic expressions such as honeysuckle for devotion and red roses for love. Flower bouquets were arrangements of flowers that looked great together, but could also convey hidden thoughts through this language of flowers. Flower bouquests were also arranged to show flowers that often grew together or were from the same family. Many botanical artists in the olden days enjoyed illustrating flower bouquets.
Our flower bouquet art is based on vintage botanical illustrations from the period 1600 to 1920.
We make them with superb pigmented inks and heavyweight 300gsm German fine art paper made from 100% cotton and spring water.
