Lilies are flowering plants important in culture in much of the world. Many other plants have "lily" in their common name but are not true lilies.
Antique prints of lilies were made to document them for science and idenitifcation, but were also made by commercial growers to advertise the lilies to customers. Ssome of the best botanical artists of the period were employed to help make these prints, such as Sydenham Edwards.
Our lily art prints are inspired by vintage botanical illustrations from the period 1600 to 1920.
We make them with superb pigmented inks and heavyweight 300gsm German fine art paper made from 100% cotton and spring water.
