Marine Art

Marine Art

Marine art or maritime art draws its main inspiration from the sea and shipping. Maritime illustration is a genre that depicts ships and the sea. It was especially popular from the 17th to 19th centuries, perhaps due to the power and influence of Great Britain's navy and commercial shipping at the time. Marine art includes shipping on rivers and estuaries, beach scenes and all art showing boats, Marine art evokes thoughts of travel, adventure, excitement and history.
Our marine art prints are based on vintage artworks from the period 1600 to 1920.
We make them with superb pigmented inks and heavyweight 300gsm German fine art paper made from 100% cotton and spring water.
