Salmon Faverolles Chickens
Features ornamental Salmon Faverolle chickens. The breed was developed in the 1860s in north-central France, in the vicinity of the villages of Houdan and Faverolles. The breed was given the name of the latter village and, therefore, the singular is also Faverolles, not Faverolle. This is a fine art print of a lithograph from the 1860s.
Based on a lithograph from the 1860s by J. Ludlow, which we have carefully restored and enhanced.
