Simon Thomassin (1655-1733) was "Graveur du Roy", or “Engraver of the King.”
In 1689 King Louis XIV commissioned Thomassin to make engravings of the statues and fountains at Versailles Palace in France.
Many were based on classical Greek and Roman artifacts and myths. Thomassin's engravings show their timeless style.
Our fine art prints are inspired by antique illustrations. We make them with superb pigmented inks and heavyweight German fine art paper made from 100% cotton and spring water.
